The goal of this diploma thesis is to outline the picture of possibilities and uses of the Mac mini server with OS X Snow Leopard Server operating system in small and medium enterprises. First sections compare this Apple product with other competitive solutions - Ubuntu Server, Windows Small Business Server and Google Apps for Business. Significant part of the diploma thesis is a step-by-step manual explaining configuration of the OS X Snow Leopard Server, focusing on the fundamental services and services important in the enterprise environment -- contacts, calendars and emails. Manual also describes possibilities of using these services on different platforms -- iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Windows and Linux. The last section is dedicated to the data and configuration backup in the OS X Snow Leopard Server.
